Description: Originally constructed in 1938, Newtowne Court is Cambridge’s largest family public housing development, consisting of an 8-acre site with 268 apartments. As part of a $200 million campaign to renovate existing public residence apartments in Cambridge, the RAD Modification of Newtowne Court consists of various site improvements including underground facilities, playground replacements, water conservation utilities, and new storage areas, among others.
