Francis Bitter Magnet Laboratory – MIT

Description: We’ve worked with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Callahan Construction Managers on the renovations to building NW14, the Francis Bitter Magnet Laboratory. The Francis Bitter Magnet Laboratory (FBML) is an institution that has made notable advances in several areas of science and engineering involving high magnetic fields. The renovations to the building are part of the Rapid Response Feasibility Study/Accelerated Capital Renewal Program.

Scope of Work: Fenagh has assisted the renovations to this building by providing special inspections and materials testing of concrete and reinforcing steel in the retaining wall, as well as concrete compression testing.
