Fuel Oil Tank & PEC Relocation, 547 Clinton Avenue
Brooklyn, New York
Description: In 1902, the New York and New Jersey Telephone Company hired an in-house architect to design and build new structures for the growing company. The architect was William B. Claflin, and this building is his largest for the phone company. Appropriately, this building is now owned by Verizon.
Scope of Work: For this project, Fenagh performed concrete inspections and laboratory testing, including sampling of the concrete pad for the Fuel Oil Tank in the basement. We monitored loads for mix number, slump, temperature, air content, and time limit. Learn more about Fenagh’s services here.
