LaGuardia Airport Delta Permanent Roadways

Description: A unified upper-level roadway now serves both Delta terminals at LGA thanks to a new vehicle bridge that links the departures-level roads serving Terminals C and D. The latest roadway improvements also allow Delta to capture more of the real estate necessary to continue building the airline’s $3.9 billion Sky Way at LGA.

Scope of Work: For this project, we performed steel inspections including shop fabrication inspection (welding/bolting), welding field inspections (structural and high pressure pipe welding), high strength bolting inspections, ultrasonic testing, magnetic particle testing, dye penetrant testing, x-ray testing, and structural cold form steel conformance. We also performed concrete testing that involved plant inspections, field inspections, steel reinforcement, concrete placement, flexural testing beams, and compression testing.
