MIT 31 Aero Astro and Mechanical Engineering Building

Description: Currently occupied by the Department of Aeronautics and Astronautics and the Department of Mechanical Engineering, many key research advances have been made within the walls of Building 31 since its construction in 1929. Renovations consisted of structural modernization as well as creation and expansion of office, lab, and common spaces. This $20M project is on track to achieve LEED Gold certification and includes new test space for flying robotics and an updated wind tunnel.
Scope of Work: Services conducted by Fenagh Engineering consisted of roofing inspections and masonry testing and inspections as well as rebar inspections. Additionally, this project required high-strength concrete testing.
