UMass Lowell – Coburn Hall, 850 Broadway Street

Description: This project involved renovations and addition to the historic building built in 1897. The centerpiece of the renovation is a model classroom and attached “design and discovery” center on the first floor, where undergraduates can prepare lesson plans and practice teaching on each other and computerized student avatars before teaching real children in schools. CBI Consulting has been hired as a building envelope consultant to work with CBT Architects on the project.

Scope of Work: For this project Fenagh provided soil inspections (sieve analysis), proctor testing, compression testing, particle size analysis, concrete testing, floor flatness & levelness testing (FF/FL), reinforcing steel inspections, firestopping inspections, and more. Learn more about Fenagh’s services here.
